Corsaglia

Long but interesting loop route that symbolically unites the last offshoots of the Langa Monregalese with the first ruggedness of the Ligurian Alps, effectively connecting Monastero di Vasco (inhabited since Roman times and etymologically linked, according to some, to the Benedictine priory of San Pietro in turn dating back to 998) with Montaldo di Mondovì.

Stretching across both paved and unpaved terrain, the route alternates between wooded areas of chestnut and mixed deciduous forests and more open spaces and meadows near the Monastery of Vasco, while also connecting various hamlets and smaller settlements.

In Montaldo, the fascinating archaeological site created from the ruins of the ancient medieval castle is particularly worth noting.
