Valli Monregalesi
Among peaks, pastures and unexpected hamlets
A maze of nature and culture, where every corner surprises those who walk, pedal or simply observe, giving different emotions at every altitude.

A handful of valleys that runs southward from the Cuneo plain to embrace the Ligurian Alps and scratch the sky with mountains and peaks over 2,400 meters above sea level. The valli Monregalesi tickle each other as they extend from west to east, creating a broad and irregular orographic grid: from the Ellero valley with its pastures, its rocks, its unexpected hamlets such as Prea and Baracco and its dolomitic glimpses behind the Mondovì Refuge, to the Maudagna valley, etched by ski facilities but not without incredible corners such as the Caudano Caves or the unmistakable silhouette of the Mondolè.
From the valley Corsaglia, again, celebrated for the hypogeal excellence of the Bossea Cave but also the custodian of the kyé linguistic culture and wild alpine views behind Fontane, to the verdant Casotto valley, which preserves the extraordinary Royal Castle, born as a Carthusian monastery and become the summer residence of the House of Savoy. The valli Monregalesi, in short, as a maze of roads and trails capable of satisfying even the most demanding cycle-hiker, thanks to a complete and differentiated range of altitudes and difficulties.
