A fascinating route that winds at high altitude along the watershed ridge separating the provinces of Cuneo and Imperia —and Italy from France—crossing what was once known as “Terra Brigasca.”
Specifically, the route begins in Monesi di Triora and, bending northwest, flows into the former military Monesi-Tenda carriageway, known today as the Alta Via del Sale.
The destination is the " Colle dei Signori, " located on the edge of the Marguareis Natural Park (now administered by the Maritime Alps Protected Areas Management Authority) and enhanced by the presence of the "Don Umberto Barbera" Alpine Refuge on site .
